Study Guide for the Week of  April 25, 2021

This Week Reading: Luke 15:11-31

A. Welcome: Welcome everyone especially new persons and read out loud the purpose of your group
B. Purpose: Our purpose is to spread the Kingdom of God. We do this by multiplying groups of people who care for each as God's family. We begin by inviting new people to our group and building them to be followers of Jesus. Each person here has the potential to be empowered to start and be the leader of a new group and spread God's kingdom.

C. Worship Time: Spend a few minutes singing a worship song. Here is one you may want to use Do It Again  (or pick your own on YouTube make sure it has the lyrics on the screen)

F. Opening Question (a simple question to introduce the main theme - called an icebreaker): Why is the love of a father important?

G. Read Background Information: 

Luke chapter 15 contains one of Jesus' most well known parables or stories, that of the prodigal son. A parable is a story that is told to make a point. Jesus told this parable because the religious leaders, the Pharisees and teachers of the law, were complaining that Jesus was speaking to sinners and people who were doing wrong things. Read verse 1-2 of chapter 15 to see the context or situation within which Jesus told this story. The Pharisees did not understand the love of God and that Jesus came to save sinners and heal people broken by sinful lifestyles. 

Verse Outline:

Read the verses through on your own before the meeting. 

Divide up the story into scenes. As you lead the group read the story scene by scene. For each scene ask the discovery question below. 

At the end of the study be sure to have every group member say what they will apply to their lives. 

     II. H. Word: Read Luke 15:11-31  - break it down into smaller portions to read. Read it in portions aloud together several times. (Goal is that everyone understand the Bible story or verses by retelling them in their own words - keep at it until everyone knows the story or verses)

1. What key (important) words do you see in these verses?
2. Tell in your own words what happens in these verses.
3. What are the details?
4. What details can you add to what others in the group have said?

I. Discuss the following general questions together (Goal is to use these general questions to guide a discussion - the leader should not speak more than 30% of the time - let the group discover what God is saying to them).
1. What new thing did you discover in the story or verses that you did not know before?
2. What did you learn about God (Father, Jesus or Holy Spirit) from the story?
3. What do you learn about people from the story?

4. What important lessons for us do you see in this story?

 
J. Commitment - Obedience - Application  (This is the key - have everyone answer this question): 
1. What in specific will you commit to apply in your life from this study? 

K. Prayer Time:                
1. Pray for an empty chair representing new people who you want to join your group. Name names of people specifically.                
2. Pray for the needs of the members of the group. It is best to divide into 2 groups one of male and the other female.
L. For Next time:                
1. Ask each person the name of a person they will invite to the group                                         for next week.

Guía del Grupo Comunitario de Crossroads:

A. Bienvenido: Bienvenidos a todos, especialmente a las personas nuevas y lea en voz alta el propósito de su grupo

B. Propósito: Nuestro propósito es difundir el Reino de Dios. Hacemos esto multiplicando  grupos de personas que cuidan de cada uno como familia de Dios. Comenzamos invitando  i  a nuevas personas a nuestro grupo y  construyéndolas  para que sean seguidores de Jesús. Cada persona aquí tiene el potencial de ser  empoderada  para comenzar y ser el líder de un nuevo grupo y  difundir el reino de Dios

C. Tiempo de adoración: Pasa unos minutos cantando una canción de adoración. Elegir su propio cancion en YouTube (asegúrese de que tiene la letra en la pantalla)

D. Annucios: Los anuncios miran arriba

E. Revisar
1. ¿Cómo te fue con lo que querías aplicar a partir de la semana pasada? 
2. ¿A quién invitaste al grupo para esta semana?


F. Pregunta de apertura (una pregunta simple para introducir el tema principal - llamado rompehielos): ¿Por qué es importante el amor de un padre?

 

G. Información de antecedentes: Lucas capítulo 15 contiene una de las parábolas o historias más conocidas de Jesús, la del hijo pródigo. Una parábola es una historia que se cuenta para hacer un punto. Jesús contó esta parábola porque los líderes religiosos, los fariseos y los maestros de la ley, se quejaban de que Jesús estaba hablando con los pecadores y las personas que estaban haciendo cosas equivocadas. Lee el versículo 1-2 del capítulo 15 para ver el contexto o la situación en la que Jesús contó esa historia. Los fariseos no entendían el amor de Dios y que Jesús venía a salvar a los pecadores y sanar a las personas rotas por estilos de vida pecaminosos.

Esquema del versículo:

I. El  Lee los versículos por tu cuenta antes de la reunión.

Divida la historia en escenas. Mientras diriges al grupo, lee la escena de la historia por escena. Para cada escena haga la pregunta de descubrimiento a continuación.

Al final del estudio asegúrese de que cada miembro del grupo diga lo que aplicará a sus vidas.

H. Palabra: Lucas 15:11-31 Léelo en porciones en voz alta varias veces. (La meta es que todos entiendan la historia o los versículos de la Biblia contándolos con sus propias palabras - manténganse en ella hasta que todos conozcan la historia o los versículos)

1. ¿Qué palabras clave (importantes) ves en esos versículos?
2. Diga con sus propias palabras lo que sucede en estos versículos.  
3. ¿Cuáles son los detalles?
4. ¿Qué detalles puede agregar a lo que otros en el grupo han dicho?

I. Discutir las siguientes preguntas generales juntos (El objetivo es utilizar estas preguntas generales para guiar un debate - el líder no debe hablar más del 30% de las veces - deje que el grupo descubra lo que Dios les está diciendo).
1. ¿Qué cosa nueva descubriste en la historia o los versículos que no conocías antes?
2. ¿Qué aprendiste acerca de Dios (Padre, Jesús o Espíritu Santo) de la historia? 
3. ¿Qué aprendes acerca de las personas de la historia?
4. ¿Qué lecciones importantes para nosotros ven en esta historia? 

J. Compromiso - Obediencia - Aplicación (Esta es la clave - que todos respondan a esta pregunta):
1. ¿Qué en concreto se comprometerán a aplicar en su vida de este estudio?

K. Tiempo de oración:
1. Ore por una silla vacía que represente a nuevas personas a las que desea unirse a su    Grupo. Nombres de personas específicamente.
2. Orar por las necesidades de los miembros del grupo. Lo mejor es dividir en 2    uno de los hombres y la otra hembra.

L. Para la próxima vez:
1. Pregunte a cada persona el nombre de una persona a la que invitarán a la grupo para la próxima semana.
